During the course of the breeding season (March-August for most garden species), robins will attempt to raise 3 or 4 broods if conditions allow often using more than one site. ![]() Some lay twice a year, some more depending on the weather and parents Obviously you cannot keep the eggs, they must be disposed of. The best time to remove a nest is after the last baby fledges, or leaves the nest, otherwise the parents will sit on a new clutch a few weeks later. We have Swift's that have used the same nest for three years, Cardinals for six, Robins for two years, and Starlings for four.
